Exposed to the truth

As children, some of us are sheltered from a harsh life and and a treated wonderfully.

We believe everything in life is “honky dory”, like everything is going to be perfect forever.

Perfect family, perfect friends, perfect life, makes for a perfectly happy child.

But eventually this perfect world comes crashing down as we grow older and realise life isn’t what we thought it to be. We are exposed to the viscious reality of life.

That “perfect” family we realise are more dysfunctional that anything in this world.

Those perfect friends become green eyed monsters.

Our perfect life isn’t all that perfect.

Yet we make the best of an imperfectly perfect situation.

  1. I remember when my whole life, every single aspect of it, was ripped from under me when I realised the world was not what I thought and people were not who they seemed. I was whacked with reality all at once and It was tough.

I get why parents cocoon their children from the reality of the world. They think they are doing the right thing, but they aren’t. You then realise that you you’re really not prepared for the world. Essentially, you’ve been lied to your whole life. And you realise this all at once!!

It’s like a frigging lottery who you are born into.

    Good post 🙂🙂🙂
